The Interdisciplinary Island and Seascape Research Cluster Invites you to a series of workshops on: Lessons to be learned for humanity - past, present, future

The initial theme is:

Ontologies and cognitive aspects of Islands and Seascapes

Presentations will be made by:

- Professor Owe Ronström, Ethnology, Uppsala University; The Phenomenon of Islandness

- Dr. Adam Grydehøj, Director of Island Dynamics; Planning for islands: The Importance of taking an island approach to island development

- Professor Johan Rönnby, Marine Archaeologist, Södertörns högskola; To live next to water the maritime perspective.

- Associate Professor Paul Wallin, Uppsala University. Past Island and seascape perceptions. Liminal zones and Islands of Life and of Death
